A hidden gem of a route along a particularly scenic part of the River Avon starting at Willsbridge Mill. This is part of the Avon Community Forest Path and intersects the Monarch's Way too.

Willsbridge Mill is a lovely little cafe and park with a pond and wild gardens that leads onto a path along the river. You can park on Willsbridge Hill here, the only parking at the cafe itself is for disabled users.

From here is a short skip through the woods before the route opens up to long green fields leading to the Monarch's Way.

After the fields you run along the River Avon canal path before reaching the Lock Keeper pub. Here you cross the bridge south and enter the picturesque Keynsham Memorial Park.

The route loops round the river before returning to the Lock Keeper and taking an alternative route through the fields on the return.

It's worth stopping in at the cafe once you get back and exploring the grounds of the Mill. If you want to extend the run you can either go north from the cafe where the paths along the canal continue all the way to Cadbury Heath, or south from Keynsham Memorial Park where the Community Forest Path continues along fields and woodlands to Pensford.
